One Day You'll Watch This Again, 2017

Video Installation, Two Screens, Cardboard, Suitcase

Using footage from childhood home videos alongside video footage from recent years in the work is an attempt to seek out clues in to things that are going to happen in what was then the future.

In the background of the very normal daily rituals of the home videos showing family life in the early 90's in Essex there is a hum of what is to come; an imminent immigration to foreign country, a change and loss of identity, a deconstruction of a family unit and eventually a sudden death.

The new video footage wants to seek out what might become lost, as a lesson learned from the past.
